Ten suites sit in forested mountains above the Amorigawa River, thatched roofs vanishing into the tree line and stone-carved onsen baths, among the first in Japan built into private wooden terraces. MICHELIN keeps it on its Key list two years running. A working farm on site supplies much of the kitchen, filled out with local meat and seafood.
