S GRADE HOTELS
Independent indexof the best hotel classifiers
1,568 houses. One of them is yours.
A house gets in with four or five Forbes Travel Guide stars, or with two or three MICHELIN Keys. Nothing below that is listed, and no house can buy its place.
Look through them, and find the one that fits.

An independent system
Two classifiers, three lists,one order
We gathered the awards from Forbes Travel Guide and the MICHELIN Guide, then let the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List, the Travel + Leisure Top 100 and The World's 50 Best Hotels decide the order within each grade.
Out of that came an independent system that pre-sorts the houses. The rating narrows the field, the decision is yours. Find your taste.

The grading
How a gradecomes about
Three grades: B, A, S. Forbes and MICHELIN decide which one; only both at their highest make a house S. The three lists never move a grade, they order the houses within one. No house pays to appear here, and none for its grade.

The same rate + what we can arrange
What each house adds differs, and we tell you which of these apply before you confirm anything. You pay the hotel’s own rate, the same as booking direct, never more. The house pays our commission, not you.

Beyond the index
A house we don’t list?
What we can book is wider than what we grade. Name a house that isn’t here and you get the same answer within one working day, at the hotel’s own rate, with the same benefits wherever the house offers them.
Questions
Asked before the first request
Do I pay more when booking through S Grade?
No. Requests are booked at the hotel's own rate, the same price as booking directly. The hotel pays our commission, and where a house offers them, VIP perks and special offers come on top.
Who decides the grades?
Forbes Travel Guide and MICHELIN do. We rate nothing ourselves: S, A and B follow mechanically from their published ratings, and when a new list appears the index is updated within days.
Why are there so few houses?
Because the bar is four or five Forbes Travel Guide stars, or two or three MICHELIN Keys. Nothing below that is listed. No house can pay its way in, and none is added by taste, ours or anyone else's.
How does a request work?
Put houses into your selection and send the request form. Within one working day you receive rates, availability and any benefits. There is no obligation, nothing is booked until you confirm.
Can I book instantly?
No. Every stay begins with a request, answered within one working day. Rates and room types are on the hotel's own site; we place the booking with the house so the benefits come with it.
Is S Grade affiliated with Forbes or MICHELIN?
No. S Grade is an independent index and reads only their public lists. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
