What the classifiers highlight

An eleven-room hotel occupies an estate in Arequipa dating to 1540, its stone walls among the first raised there by European settlers, still standing. Rooms keep a sparse, modernist decor reminiscent of the best Italian hotels, technology used where needed. The kitchen turns out contemporary versions of Arequipenean dishes in a glass-walled salon or on a shaded terrace.
