Perched on a storm-battered stretch of Vancouver Island, this cedar retreat built its rooms around the trees and vegetation already on site rather than clearing them. Floor-to-ceiling windows face the crashing surf, furnishings come from recycled fir and driftwood, and the Pointe Restaurant keeps its focus on the sea.
