What the classifiers highlight
Gabriella Rasponi, widow of a count, built this villa opposite the Quirinal Palace in the early 1900s; it opened to the public as a hotel in 2006. Forbes counts four stars. Its library of more than a thousand rare books carries recognition from Italy's Ministry of Culture, and the parlor bar pours complimentary rum, scotch and whiskey each evening.
