What the classifiers highlight
César Ritz opened this grand hotel in 1894 with a dinner cooked by Auguste Escoffier, and the tradition survives each evening at seven with a sabrage ritual to open the champagne. MICHELIN gives it one Key. Pierre-Yves Rochon's 2018 renovation kept the rooms classic, and contemporary art from the Continua Gallery fills the lobby.
