The Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix, Geneva
What the classifiers highlight
A favorite of Europe's elite since 1865 as the Hotel de la Paix, the property reopened as a Ritz-Carlton in 2017 after a year-long closure. Its black-and-white tiled lobby holds a vast crystal chandelier, and a counter from chocolatier Philippe Pascoët sits among local art. The hotel has no spa of its own, sending guests to the nearby President Wilson.
