The Blue Lagoon is man-made, and MICHELIN says only a killjoy would hold that against it, least of all here: the Retreat has a lagoon reserved for its own guests, so the crowded public pool can be skipped entirely. A couple of suites have fully private baths, and the day spa is built around Iceland's volcanic ground.
