What the classifiers highlight

Built between 1908 and 1910 as five townhouses and a bank, this Fitzrovia hotel got a yacht-cabin makeover from Ian Schrager: oak floors, wood panelling and photography by Hendrik Kerstens across 173 rooms, under a lobby that keeps its original stucco ceiling. Forbes credits Jason Atherton's Berners Tavern off that lobby, serving dishes like char siu Dingley Dell pork chop.
