What the classifiers highlight

Mount Vernon, just north of the Inner Harbor, holds this restored nineteenth-century mansion, one of the few Black-owned boutique hotels in America. Rooms carry four-poster beds and gas fireplaces, bathrooms have heated limestone floors, and a small spa and a green courtyard round out the house. Chef Ülfet Ralph runs Magdalena, the well-regarded restaurant on site.
