Rosewood's first Japanese property sits on a crescent of white sand and coral sea along Miyako-jima's remote northwest coast. MICHELIN gives it Two Keys. Each of the 55 villas has a private pool and a Ryukyu stone bath, finished in soft textiles, pale wood and touches of bronze, drawing on the history of the Ryukyu archipelago rather than mainland Japan.
