Bill Bensley designed the tents, rooms and villas in a French-Lao hybrid style, on the jungle edge of the former royal capital. At the colonial-style Great House, the chef grills river fish over charcoal with herbs cut minutes before. The Sense spa works from tented rooms, its treatments drawn from northern Lao tradition. MICHELIN gives three Keys, Forbes four stars.
