What the classifiers highlight

Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan designed the 90 villas and 20 studios in earthy tones and natural materials, part of the Fari Islands archipelago shared with two sister hotels. James Turrell built Amarta, an open-ceilinged light chamber, among the resort's art. Twelve restaurants and bars sit across the island, which runs carbon-neutral and bans single-use plastic. Forbes calls it Patina's flagship.
