One&Only's first mountain resort, in Big Sky, Montana, which MICHELIN calls rougher and more down to earth than an Aspen or a Jackson Hole. The architecture is by Olson Kundig, and though the site is more secluded than a slopeside hotel, a private gondola connects it to the Big Sky lift system. Winter is the loud season; the spa and the outdoors carry the rest of the year.
