Moor Hall
What the classifiers highlight
A sixteenth-century manor beside its own lake, Moor Hall calls itself a restaurant with rooms: chef Mark Birchall's kitchen holds three MICHELIN stars and draws most of the guests. Rooms in the main house mix original beams with contemporary furnishing, while newer Garden Rooms go plainly modern. MICHELIN separately rates the stay Two Keys, and Birchall runs the neighbouring Barn.
