What the classifiers highlight
Napoleon III built this brick-red palace on the Bay of Biscay in 1854 for his wife Eugénie, and later owners rebuilt it in the shape of an E in her honor. The 86 rooms and 56 suites keep period furniture and rich fabrics; MICHELIN counts two Keys and notes the loss of France's palace label in 2026.
