Operating as a hotel since 1681 on the banks of the Rhine, the guest list has run from Napoleon Bonaparte to Picasso and Bob Dylan. Neoclassical rooms keep patterned wallpaper and polished wood furniture, with heated floors and turndown that leaves chocolates and, oddly, kiwis. Cheval Blanc carries three MICHELIN Stars, and the hotel bottles its own gin.
