What the classifiers highlight

A lodge cut into a hillside above Owhanake Bay on Waiheke Island, thirty-five minutes by ferry from Auckland. MICHELIN calls it the archetypal New Zealand lodge, secluded and small, and describes the mix of Mediterranean architecture with Maori decoration as working better than it has any right to. Guests must be thirteen or older.
