Grand Duke Michael of Russia financed this belle epoque hotel in 1909 when Cannes had nowhere grand enough for his receptions; the facade later appeared in Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief. A $375 million refresh finished in 2023, adding Cannes' largest infinity pool and a spa with its own boxing ring. Forbes rates it five stars.
