What the classifiers highlight

Once a Portuguese industrialist's mansion, this became the Algarve's first hotel in 1934 and now runs as a Relais & Châteaux property split into the Blue House and the 20-room Garden House. MICHELIN awards Two Keys and a Star to the restaurant Vista, where chef João Oliveira runs separate seafood and vegetarian tasting menus; the hotel closes each winter.
