What the classifiers highlight
Thirteen Ming and Qing dynasty houses, 300 to 500 years old, were moved brick by brick to Shanghai's outer Minhang district to escape a dam project, along with more than ten thousand centuries-old camphor trees; Kerry Hill added 24 new suites around them. A cultural pavilion, Nan Shufang, teaches calligraphy and painting, and the spa runs a Russian banya.
