What the classifiers highlight

The village does much of the work here. Old buildings and ramparts inside Gordes were rebuilt into forty rooms looking over the Luberon, with beamed ceilings and claw-foot tubs left in place. Forbes counts five places to eat, from a trattoria to a Ladurée tea room. The house closes from November until mid-April.
